New River Alliance of Climbers

NRAC exists to preserve and promote access to climbing areas, and to conserve climbing resources in the New River Gorge and surrounding areas.

Access Fund

The Access Fund is on a mission to protect climbing access and the integrity of America's outdoor climbing areas, through policy, land protection, stewardship, and more.

Carolina Climber's Coalition

The Carolina Climber's Coalition was established January 16, 1995 with the purposes of preserving the natural environment, promoting safe climbing practices and preserving climber's access to climbing areas in North and South Carolina.

Friends of Joshua Tree

Joshua Tree National Park has long enjoyed a reputation as a world-class climbing mecca. Local climbers organized Friends of Joshua Tree in 1991 to address ecosystem preservation, wildlife preservation and endangered species protection and how these issues relate to climbers' access.

Red River Gorge Climber's Coalition

Founded in 1996 the RRGCC is dedicated to securing and protecting open, public access to rock climbing in the Red River Gorge area of Kentucky and promoting conservation of the environment on the lands where we climb.

Rumney Climber's Coalition

The Rumney Climbers Association is a small non-profit organization that began at time when Rumney needed to secure access to the cliffs in the early 90’s. It was spearheaded by local activists that worked hard to purchase land that was privately owned.

Gunk's Climber's Coalition

The Gunks Climbers’ Coalition is an advocacy group dedicated to creating and maintaining sustainable opportunities for responsible climbing along the Shawangunk Ridge and surrounding areas.

American Alpine Club

The AAC provides authoritative climbing information, knowledge and resources that benefit and inspire us and future generations. Advocacy and leadership advance our climbing interests and promote conservation. Community and competency strengthen and embolden us to push our limits.

Boulder Climbing Community

The Boulder Climbing Community is a non-profit organization that connects and supports climbers, climbing organizations, land managers, and businesses in the Boulder area, in order to protect and care for the climbing areas we love.

Friends of Cedar Mesa

Friends of Cedar Mesa works to ensure that the public lands in San Juan County, with all their cultural and natural values, are respected and protected.

Washington Climber's Coalition

The mission of the WCC is to make Washington a better place to climb through advocacy, stewardship, and education. We are climbers who believe that climbers must work together and work cooperatively with land managers and other groups who have an interest in the places where we climb or we risk losing access to these places we cherish.

Muir Valley Organization

The Muir Valley Organization is a volunteer-based organization that owns, operates, and maintains, Muir Valley - approximately 360 acres with seven majestic cliffs of hard Corbin Sandstone, recognized as one of the Crown Jewels of Sport Climbing. The Muir Valley Organization manages the facilities, trails, and anchors and is one of the top Access Fund Chartered Climbing Organizations. Muir Valley


Crag Vermont is dedicated to preserving access and conservation of Vermont's climbing resources. Their work in purchasing and maintaining ice and rock destinations in the state has made an incredible impact on the quantity and quality of climbing venues. CRAG-VT

Illinois Climber's Association

The Illinois Climbers Association is a charitable organization representing the climbers of Illinois. We are dedicated to preserving climbing and bouldering access in Illinois through education, conservation, and cooperation. Illinois Climber's Association

Central Appalachia Climber's Coalition

The CACC has recently expanded their coverage beyond SW Virgina to include climbing areas between the New River Gorge, Red River Gorge, and part of northern Tennessee. They recently secured purchase of the AVP Boulders in Grayson Highlands, VA. Quickly becoming the best bouldering in the state. CACC

Minnesota Climber's Association

The MCA is made up of members and volunteers dedicated to preserving Minnesota climbing. They manage the Sandstone Ice Park which is the only park of it's kind in the mid-west. They promote conservation and stewardship throughout the region and manage anchor replacement and assessment across the state. MCA
